A TripIt alternative that only sees the email you send

TripIt builds an itinerary from bookings you forward, and it can connect to your inbox if you turn that on. Voyaij never does. You forward one confirmation at a time, and the day-by-day plan is yours to edit.

A Voyaij day-by-day itinerary on a phone

Two organisers, two ways in

TripIt asks you to forward mail to plans@tripit.com. Inbox Sync can also read Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook, Microsoft 365, Yahoo and Hotmail. TripIt's pricing page and Inbox Sync help describe that. People also add plans by hand.

Voyaij's import address is import@myvoyaij.com. A plain email reads flights, hotels and car hire with no AI credit. A PDF uses one. The app never asks for mailbox access.

Side by side

TripIt cells are from TripIt's own pages, checked 11 October 2026. Where we have not verified a detail, the cell says so.

Where each one is stronger

TripIt is the better fit when

You want Inbox Sync, or Pro's seat tracker, fare-refund watch and alternate-flight tools. Pro is $49 a year. Voyaij Starter is $49.99 a year, so do not switch for a lower alert price.

Voyaij is the better fit when

You want the inbox left alone, clash and missing-booking flags on the free plan, and an editable itinerary. Upload a TripIt data export if you want the old trips too.

Plain emails stay free

Forwarding a text or HTML confirmation uses no AI credit. A PDF uses one. Free includes 10 credits a month, Starter 50, Pro 150.

Push alerts are a paid feature here

Every plan shows the gate, terminal and delay in the app. Push alerts to your phone are on Starter and Pro. If you need push alerts at no charge, KAYAK Trips includes them on its free organiser.

Frequently asked questions

How does TripIt get my bookings?+

You can forward confirmations to plans@tripit.com. Inbox Sync can also pull them from Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook, Microsoft 365, Yahoo and Hotmail. TripIt's own pricing and help pages describe that. A Play Store reviewer also says they add plans by hand.

What does TripIt Pro add?+

TripIt's help page lists real-time flight alerts, fare refund monitoring, a seat tracker, alternate flights, check-in reminders, and terminal and gate reminders on Pro. Pro is $49 a year on tripit.com/web/pro. Checked 11 October 2026.

Does Voyaij connect to my inbox?+

No. Voyaij never connects to your inbox. You forward the confirmation you want read to import@myvoyaij.com. A plain email is free and uses no AI credit. A PDF uses one credit.

Can I bring my TripIt history across?+

Yes, from a TripIt data export (the file from TripIt's own data-export tool). Voyaij converts that file into trips. It is an upload, not a live link to your TripIt account.

Are gate and delay alerts free?+

In the app, yes: every plan shows the gate, terminal and delay. Push alerts to your phone are on Starter and Pro. Starter annual is $49.99, about the same as TripIt Pro at $49 a year. KAYAK Trips includes flight and gate push notifications on a free organiser if that is the feature you care about most.

When is TripIt the better fit?+

When you want optional Inbox Sync, or TripIt Pro's airport tools (seat tracker, fare refund monitoring, alternate flights), or you already live in that app. Voyaij is the better fit when you want forward-only import, clash and missing-booking flags on the free plan, and an editable day-by-day plan on Android and the web. There is no iOS app.
